This little boy has been such a joy this past year! He makes EVERYTHING fun and we can just sit and watch him for hours on end. As we were getting ready for his birthday party he decided he needed some pretties on. He will wear any jewelry at any time alllll day long. Super cute!
As is our tradition, Jace opened up his gifts from Mom, Dad, and Big Brother the morning of his birthday. He really got into it and did a great job. We were truly impressed at his present opening skills especially since most kids do not really get it at 1.
We had a ton of fun with Elmo. Jace and Adam both loved this toy and he really is a cool toy when you have the extra instruments. I was a bit worried about it as it is a noisy toy, but the boys love it and it is hilarious to watch them "Rock Out" with Elmo.
Jace got a kick out of everyone singing to him. You can just see Adam's little face on the left side of the photo, he sang the loudest and was a very proud big brother. He also blew out all of the candles for Jace, which was a job he took extremely serious.
Jace was a bit confused when we took the big cake away. He looked as though he was about the get very upset.
He was a bit timid to dig into the cake....
....so we gave him a fork....
....and he used it quit nicely! Both of the boys took right to using the fork and spoon. We started them out pretty early developing those motor skills. See Mama has a problem with germs, and even after being sanitized, little hands are still germy!
He did eventually tear into the cake as he was expected to do. And in the process, he shared with Great Grandma.
Well, now you're just playing with it!
The after party got pretty wild as they usually do when our Lainey is around. And this after party, well it went on from Saturday until Tuesday! We had such a good time with her!
Happy 1st Birthday, JB! You are one of the best!
