A Week Away

Bud and I spent the week in Monticello last week. We needed to some family and friends time! On Tuesday we went out to the White County Fair and saw all of the animals, some very excellent art and food projects, and ate some great food. We hit all of the barns except the hog barn, it was pretty busy that day so we skipped it, we saw some pigs going to and from the arena though!
Wednesday we went to France Park with Aunt Michelle, Hannah, and Kiersten. And of course we were all sad to leave as it is sooo much more relaxing than the pool! Adam and the girls splashed around, built sand castles, and Adam showed them all how to use his water blaster! They also had quite a big time trying to catch the giant minnows that were swarming us!
Thursday we went out to Great Grandma and Grandpa Daily's house. Adam got to take a gator ride with Tasha, as well as a couple of walks to see the tractors and trying to catch the poor cat. We had breakfast and lunch and Adam got to play with his cousin Avery. They have only met a couple other times, but they played so well together and Biggs was sad to leave. But after a nap we went over to GG and GGPa's for dinner with them and Pa and Mimi. It was such a great day, but by the time we left there were no tears as there usually are when we leave them, he was ready to head back to Grammy's to relax and get to bed.
It was a big week for Adam and I am we were so glad to get home to Daddy. We have all decided that it isn't so much where we are that is home, it is who we are with!

Adam found the M&M's at Great Grandma Daily's house. Now he knows where they are at 2 GG's houses!

Great Grandma said that Daddy and Adam's uncles used to stand in this closet as well. Looks like another generation carrying on the tradition and playing with these toys!

Adam didn't want to wait for Tasha to come start 'er up. He hopped over into the drivers seat himself!

Awww, Adam's first fair "cook"! He was just as hooked as the rest of the fair-goers waiting in line with us. I think we waited 15 min. this year!

Adam and Pa enjoying their "cooks" together.

Mary Kate and her Mommy went to the fair with us. She loves to see the animals, but Bud couldn't convince her to touch any of them. In most of the barns she sat in her stroller looking at him like he was nuts! Especially in the cow barn where he went up to about 1/2 of them for a chat and a pat!

Adam has entered the world of Band-Aides! He has really started to look like a little boy with bruises and scrapes all over his legs. We have found that he will keep the regular old Band-Aides on and associates them with "ouchies". But the ones that we got him with Sesame Street characters on them he thinks are stickers. So he would rather have those on his shirt than his scrapes. As you can see above, he has also learned how to open the wrappers and take off the backing as well!

Uncle Shane didn't know we were stopping by and was in the middle of yard work, no worries, Adam will just help! He was really pumped to run the blower and kept looking back at me to make sure I was watching him!
