Neigh Says The Horse...

We made a trip down to the state fairgrounds Sunday to the Hoosier Horse Fair. We met up with Uncle Shane, Aunt Michelle, Hannah and Kiersten. Alyssa was shopping and while Mommy was jealous of that fact, she got over it quickly when we started having fun!
Adam has a large entourage of animals that seem to follow him around the house. He knows all of their sounds, and can say a few of their names, but the horses seem to be the most popular. So we thought the horse fair would be a great outing for us. He was so into it when we hit the kiddie coral. Donkey petting and pony rides, it was right up his alley. Then we started getting into the big boys. He was OK for the most part until a little Arabian sauntered up to the stroller to see if he had any treats. In their own space, they are great... in his, not so great! So we moved on, we saw all sorts of horses, but a fan favorite was the draft horses and their massive size and presence.
We did some shopping of our own, and had a great lunch which gave us the chance to all sit and catch up. All through the fair grounds and in between his jabbering with the family we could hear Adam's "Neighs" and "Hee Haws"

Believe it or not, this little pony's name is Mr. Biggs, or Biggs for short! We knew the instant we saw it on his saddle and confirmed it with the cowboy...this was the pony for Adam!

Bud LOVES his cousins! He was trying very hard to steer Kiersten towards something he liked, I think she is up to his tricks most days, but there were a ton of people around.

We were all smiles. Even Mr. Ed was ready for the pic until we started saying "cheese". Then Sleepy decided that the photo op was over!

Fits like a glove, huh? We were all about finding the bargains, and were all settled on a $5 hat for Adam. That is until this one began calling to Uncle Shane. Those few extra bucks made the difference, he will definitely still be wearing this one come fair time when we venture up to White Co to cheer for our Haselby girls.

Bud was showing off his shoes and his shades. He found this pair of glasses in the beach bag we took to Vegas last fall when we were trying to hunt down some sunscreen. I was quite surprised to see these babies made it home as the other 3 pairs did not! Biggs LOVES these shoes, he will bring them to us when we are just sitting at home. Last week it was the Crocs, the week before that the snow boots. Not sure what it will be next week, he has a very strong will and a mind of his own! Sounds like his Mama!
