These past couple of weekends have been so busy for us. Last weekend we had Lainey over ALL weekend long. We were so busy with fun things to do that the time flew by way to fast and little sugar was leaving us.
We picked her up and headed to Jump It in Lafayette. Those of you that know me know that this is literally Hell on Earth for me. A cesspool of germs is all that it is, but the kids love it and who am I to deny two of my favorite littles some fun. Nothing Germ X and Purell can't cure and we all made it out alive. Even though Miss Kim had to save many a little from the big jumpers as every last one of them (hers included) got stuck!
After that it was home for some homemade pizza and a movie. I believe this night we watched Tangled. Twice. Great movie. The first time.
Saturday we hit the playroom hard. What a disaster area we had on our hands by the time these two were done with it. Up the stairs they came and we made some very scary monsters that went out in the mail to some very special people.
Saturday night when the kids were asked what they wanted for dinner on the grill my little man went with Dad's suggestion and requested a cheeseburger, but oh no, not my Lainey Bug. She wanted steak...and steak she got! We retired to the living room for a little Despicable Me action where Lainey quoted most of the movie and told us what the next scene held. So we really didn't need to pay the $4.99 for it On Demand!
Sunday we met Aunt Car, Uncle Josh, and Aunt Car's ever growing "bump" at Chuckie Cheese, another one of my worst nightmares for a few slices of really great frozen pizza, some games, and to give back the Booger.
We have decided that we have an amazing family. Carly and Josh, even though so far away seem as though they live right next door. Shane, Michelle, Missy, and Shaw all treat our children as if they are their own, couldn't ask for better family!
My little boy looks so grown up in his cargos and crocs. He looks every bit the 3 years he is about to be and starting pre-school in the fall to top it off!
Mr. Long Legs is growing like a weed.
