Because Jace's due date was Christmas Eve we decided to get as many Christmases in before he came along as we knew we wouldn't be venturing out much after his grand entrance. Throughout the year Adam gest so many gifts for different reasons from friends and family alike, but at Christmas time it seems to multiply by 10 and this year was no different. He got so many wonderful things to wear (which Mom and Dad like) and play with (which he likes) that we are at a loss as to where to put everything. Add all of Bud's new stuff to all of Jace's baby gear and you've got one cluttered house!
This year as a family we had the best gift of all. The safe (and speedy!!!) delivery of Jace Brody! We were eager to get home to big brother by Christmas, and that wish came true as well. We were able to spend the entire weekend together as a family and those are memories that will not soon be forgotten!
Thank you Dear Lord for the blessings in our life. We cherish every second of everyday you allow us to be together and grow as a family in your love. We pray for those less fortunate than us and for those who have not yet realized your greatness.
Please continue to bless us with your love and the love of eachother.
AMEN!
Merry Christmas!

At
Grammy's house for Christmas Eve dinner. Adam was all wound up after presents were unwrapped and the thought of Santa bringing him more gifts made it worse. Poor Grammy felt the effects of that excitement!

Aunt Car was recruited to open
Laine's new gift and help the kids. She was ever so patient with them as they got ever so impatient with her! She needed to read the directions and the kiddos didn't like that!

Our little gamer! Adam is super into any type of video game. Here he is playing the old school Super Nintendo. But he loves to play computer games, Atari games, games on our phones, and even board games. Cooties and Memory being his faves at the moment!

Adam has been asking for a pillow pet all season! We have a large pillow crocheted into a HUGE turtle by his Great Grandma Eileen in 1983 for Uncle Adam. We have been telling him he has the "original" pillow pet. He didn't buy it, and Grammy and Pap got him a real one! The minute he unwrapped it he laid down and asked for "covers"

Super excited for Christmas morning and all of the AWESOME gifts that Santa left!

Santa left Adam a sucker in his stocking. And it seemed that this sucker was
never ending! The teeth are from the Mater character on the movie Cars which
incidentally is one of Adam's faves!

While we were in the hospital "getting
Jace" as Adam would say, Bud went to the
VanVoorst Christmas with Grammy, Aunt Car, and Lainey Bugs. Here once again he came away with so many gifts it was hard to keep track of them all when they got home.
Sooo, if you gave
Biggs a gift at any point this Christmas and you do not receive a Thank You... Thank You! I have been a bit preoccupied!

Every time we visit Great Grandma
Haselby, Dad comes home with a new seed corn hat! This time Adam has claimed it and it looks oh so good on him, huh? Apparently from the conversation we had with Grandma, Adam is a chip off Great Grandpa
Haselby's old block! Very fitting as he was named after Great Grandpa Harlan!

This was a wonderful visit for us with Great Grandma. We took her to her favorite Chinese
restaurant and had a great meal and great conversation. We love to ask questions about loved ones past and hear stories. As we were leaving Adam took Great Grandma's hand to help her off of the curb. All the while asking her "OK Great Grandma? OK?" It was so cute and melts my heart that we have such a sensitive boy!

As soon as Adam opened his gifts from The
Haselbys, he picked out some books to read with Kiersten. This child his so in love with his aunts, uncles and cousins on both sides of the family that it is amazing to us that a 2 year old can keep them all straight. He can even keep all of the animals straight!
