Family Fun Day took us the the Indy Zoo this year. Ball upgraded a little bit from Indiana Beach this year, and while we thought our picnic lunch would be low on people due to the travel involved, we were pleasantly surprised to see so many employees make the drive.
We headed down early as we had an OB appointment and then met Grammy, Pap, and the Hepler kids in the parking lot. And in true Adam/Lainey fashion they ran to eachother with open arms the way you might see in a movie. So wonderful to see them loving eachother because it usually turns into a power struggle very quickly now a days!
JB gave "Simba" the staredown before he let him know that he does NOT high-five...he fist bumps. Yes, if you go to give Jace Brody a high-five, you will get shot down and reprimanded. This little man only does the fist bump, or "bump" as he refers to it. Keepin it high class here folks!
The best shot we could get of everyone and Lainey and Timone were the only ones looking!
Jacer, doing his own thing. This little man is so incredibly independent that it does sometimes scare me. He is known to copy the big kids, but most of the time dances to the beat of his own drum.
Daddy/Uncle Brocky is so good with the kids. He loves them all so much and is always down at their level.
The kids love the splash area at the zoo. The thing is, I can never understand why people have to make their kids change into and out of swimsuits. We always wait until the end of the trip and then let 'em go. That's the fun of it people. Haven't you ever ran through the sprinkler with clothes on? Jumped into the lake or pool fully clothed? Hmm, let them have fun!!!
