The boys took their piggy banks in to Dad's bank for the first time to deposit their own money. We have emptied Adam's twice now, but this was Jace's first time and while we always take the big bills from gifts and such right away, the boys have never done it themselves. Adam helped for a little bit, but the allure of the "back" of the bank soon got to him and they were both off and running. Good thing the girls love kids, because I would have been none too happy about this visit.
Of course first thing they hit up when we get there is the sucker basket. And like any regular trip to Dad's bank they also hit up the storage closet full of junk no one wants or needs, including us. Thanks alot Ross.
I am so very proud of the boys. They both get an allowance on Fridays. Adam understands what the money is for and loves cramming the dollars into the pig. Jace just understands it's "money money money" and loves to cram it into the pig. They both still like the change the best, quantity over quality, but I am proud to say that those dollars have added up into quite a savings. A savings that Adam is ready to spend!
