As of Saturday evening we had only a few raspberries that had turned black and ready to pick. But Sunday when we returned home from the day's outing we found that it was time to start picking!
This year's berries are big and sweet. Just the way we like them!

Adam loves to help with anything outside. He loves to plant flowers and plants and he now has a new favorite...picking the sweet fruit! Well, more berries ended up in his mouth than in his bowl. He has decided that he also wants to plant strawberries and watermelons. So we are now looking for not only a new home with room for all of his animals, but room for all of his plants as well!

First pick of the season yielded one bowl. The next night, two. It looks as though that number will be doubling by tomorrow evening provided we get some sun to go with all of this rain! We are excited for the end of the season to make the jam and pies. It is worth all of the bug bites, scratched up body parts from the thorns and all of the hard work! Plus we get to spend time together, can't beat that!
