The Best Of Friends

"A mother understands what a child does not say."
Jewish Proverb

Adam and his Dad are the best of friends. The decibel level in this house is off the charts most days as they play, wrestle, and even talk very very loudly. The playing and the wrestling could be brought down a notch, but the talking is what catches my heart.
Adam now has many words in his vocabulary. I believe that his large assemblage of words is due to 2 very important factors.
1. BOOKS! We read all of the time, he will even sit on my lap Monday mornings while I read the Sunday paper.
2. His Father! If you know Brock, even of Brock you will know that he enjoys to chat. Adam has inherited that trait and I believe it is because they talk and talk and talk that his words are more and more recognizable. Dad's doing something right! Some of Bigg Time's words include
(ones that you would understand anyway)...
juice, dog, sit, cow, knees, nose, cat, as well as kitty kitty kitty, most if not all of the barnyard animals sounds, ouch, no, Laine and of course Momma and Dadda
He knows his body parts when we say them and can point to them, but is not saying too many. Soon, very soon! The amazing thing is that he actually understands and comprehends so much of what we say or ask him. He just can't verbalize back yet. I do think that when that time comes, we may all be in very big trouble!
Hopefully Adam has gotten much more from Brocky than that. If he has, he will be in good shape for the rest of his life as his Dad is a pretty amazing guy!
