Young McDonald Had A Farm

Adam's class had a field trip to the Young McDonald's Farm at TLHS. Jace and I have tagged along for all of his field trips, but for this one we were lucky enough to have Daddy come along too. The boys got down and dirty right from the start, and it actually became kind of difficult to keep up with Adam. And in true Adam fashion, we were the last to leave, especially since there were animals involved!
I still can not decide which were the bigger hits. Of course a small child is always in awe of a large animal and even better when that large animal is so gentle, but the littles always love the smaller animals that they can hold and pet. It was incredible to see JB walk right up to the cows and horses (if not a little nerve racking) and try to interact with them. On the 2nd go around this cow had finally laid down and the boys got right up and personal with her.

The boy in the pin this the ducks was quite impressed with Adam. He said he was like the duck whisperer in that that duck had not been that calm since all of the kids had started arriving. He took to Adam, and Adam actually really took to him. He reluctantly gave him back so that the other kids could hold him, but the duck wasn't having it!
Jacer had his favorites! The turkey didn't appear to be one of them, but the bunnies sure did. Maybe because they are so soft or maybe because he is used to them from Aunt Chelle and Uncle Shane's house. Whichever it was doesn't matter, he loved them!
