Water, water, everywhere...
Water, near and far-
Let's use our hands and feet to count
How many kinds there are!
Great vast oceans, tiny tears,
Soft clouds ripe with rain,
Bubbles blowing, bursting -POP!-
A wondrous, wet, refrain...
Waterfalls with misty breath
Whisper as they flow...
Frozen water turns to ice,
And flakes form out of snow.
Sun-kissed meadows sparkle bright
With early morning dew-
There's even water in your bath,
Splashing over you!
Adam was so excited when it started raining a couple of weeks ago. He was chomping at the bit to use his "cumbrella" that he was literally jumping up and down when it started storming!
Since we have added Jace to Adam's bath time it has gotten even harder to get him out! Jace has proven to be just as difficult when it comes to getting out of any type of water, let alone the nice warm bath!
We have quite a water mess when these two are finally done in the tub. But I remember making a mess in this very bathroom! New kids, new tub...same fun!
Always fun on the lake! Neither of these boys have ever had a problem swimming in the murky lake water. Maybe because we started so young with both of them or because we are always all together, but either way it is always a good time!
Jace loves to float around like big brother. He would like to be independent while floating too, but not yet little man...you are still top heavy!
We enjoyed the Haselbys a couple of weeks ago. We have so enjoyed being close to our girls again since moving back...hope they aren't getting sick of us yet!
Enjoying the float. Jace ALWAYS falls asleep when he is in a floaty. He gets so relaxed. It appears that he doesn't even need a ya-ya (paci) or his lovey. Just a finger!
Mr. Fearless likes to fly like a super hero. It is OK in the water, but when he tries to "fly" off the bed or the couch Mama gets VERY nervous!
The little pool in the backyard is just as much fun for us Haselbys as the lake or the big pools! We had to retire Adam's "family size" pool from last year as it finally gave out. I think it may have been the rough and tumble boys that play in it!
Adam chose this whale pool. He didn't know when he chose it that 1. it was so small (he said when we blew it up, "Mama, where will Jacer sit?") and 2. that the whale blew water from the top of his head! He quickly forgot about the size when he found this out!
Mary Kate came to play and swim while her pregnant Mama got a little nap. Poor little thing doesn't play quite as rough as Adam! There really is a huge difference in boys and girls at a very early age!
We went out to The Greats' house for an evening swim the other night. We really needed to cool off and let the kids swim the sillies out for a bit! Of course when the prince and princess Adam and Lainey ask to go for a boat ride GG and GGPa couldn't resist! Jace took his normal seat with GG.
Lainey loves to swim as much as the rest of us. She also loves her water wings as much as Bubba does! They wouldn't take them off!
Adam is quite the little swimmer. In the pool he will wear just his water wings. He will go under, jump in, go down a slide, and loves to be thrown! He has recently started trying to swim under water. But this is difficult when your arms stay above water while the rest of you is submerged!
