Well, we were back at the docotr's office Friday. Adam Harlan was really scratching, pulling, and rubbing on his ears, both of them this time. He had irritated them so much that they little scabs on the outsides of them.
Adam has a condition called Serous Otitis. This, in simple terms, means that his ears feel like they constantly need to pop, but they can't! There is nothing we can do for the poor little man except to try and prevent more fluid from entering his ears so that the fluid that is currently there can dry up. So... Adam is now off of the Zantac for his reflux and now on Prevacid. This med works better for the type of reflux he has and we hope that he won't have to be on it for too long. Dr. Smith will only let this go for about three months, after that Big Time will have to have tubes put into his ears to drain the fluid. BOO!
Please pray for us ALL as our sweet boy is very uncomfortable, and not so sweet!
