The Coloring Of The Eggs

Adam was very adamant about putting the eggs in and taking them out by himself...

This is Mommy thinking "OMG, what have we gotten ourselves into?" Many of you know me well, disorder and chaos are not part of my daily life when it can be avoided, and THIS could have been avoided! This was a hard one, note all the paper towels!

After the first few eggs, he really got the hang of the egg hook. He would chase the eggs around and around the cups and then finally get it, but never did make it all the way to the plate. He usually just dropped it back in the water and did it all over again.

He had his favorite colors, and the orange one wasn't one of them. He gravitated to the greens and blues. And in these kits there are 7 different shades of greens and blues. Dad couldn't believe the names of the colors, he said back when he was a kid they only had 3 colors. Not sure what year that was cause at my house we at least had 5!

The sticker situation was rather, well, "sticky". Biggs had a hard time getting those little stickers off of his little fingers. So we had quite a few on the table, our shirts, and hands.

The finished product! All of the spills and used paper towels were all worth it just to have this one picture!

What a fun time it is right now with Adam. He is experiencing things that we have taken for granted for years, and the excitement on his little face makes us appreciate those things so much more. It has also led both Dad and I down remembrance road and all those years of egg coloring with our siblings and parents. So glad to be making memories with Adam as our parents did with us. The awesome part is the technology that we have to help us preserve these times!
